Arcadia and Bloomberg Philanthropies launched the Joint 30x30 Funding Initiative to help secure protection for 30 percent of the world's oceans by 2030, as outlined in Target 3 of the landmark Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). The Fund provides a unique opportunity to make progress toward this target for the benefit of people, nature, and the global climate.

Launched at the 2023 Our Ocean Conference, the Fund focuses on supporting the ambitions of Indigenous Peoples, coastal communities, non-government organizations (NGOs), and governments to strengthen the health and resilience of the ocean.
